This is one of the first studies in Latin America to demonstrate, under real-world conditions, the effectiveness of an mHealth intervention to increase access to mammography, a key tool for the early detection of breast cancer —the leading cause of cancer death among women in Argentina.

The study was conducted by the CEDES/CONICET team, the Santa Fe Cancer Control Agency, and the Santa Fe Ministry of Health, with funding from the National Cancer Institute of Argentina.
